Jim Hilt

Jim Hilt is Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President eCommerce at Express, a leading specialty retailer for men and women. Mr. Hilt joined Express in February 2014 as Senior Vice President of e-Commerce. He was promoted to his current role in March 2016.

Mr. Hilt has been instrumental in the evolution of the Express customer experience, from a digital perspective and through his leadership support of the brand’s omni-channel initiatives. He has helped the company in its efforts to reach customers more effectively by building a data-driven enterprise.

Mr. Hilt has deep expertise in creating emotional experiences for shoppers through digital channels. He came to Express from Barnes & Noble, where he was the Vice President of eBooks and Managing Director, International. Prior to this, Mr. Hilt held several executive positions at Sears Holdings, the parent company of Sears and Kmart. He has served as the Divisional Vice President of Product Management, Online Services and ManageMyHome. Before Sears, Mr. Hilt held a number of executive and business development roles at both SAP and IBM.

Born in Minnesota, Mr. Hilt holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
