Mark Baldwin
President & Co-Founder, Tuku
Mark is a career entrepreneur with a focus on technology and services innovation, corporate management, strategic market development and client relationships. Prior to founding TUKU, Mark served as Vice-president, Marketing Activation with TC.Transcontinental Inc. where he was responsible for strategic business development across all lines of business (print, digital and media) for major corporate accounts; including, Canadian Tire, RONA, Sobeys, Shoppers Drug Mart. Before his promotion, Mark held the title Vice-president, Digital Operations. In that capacity, Mark managed four business units: Digital Promotions, Email, Mobile (Quebec), and Mobile (Ontario) with financial responsibilities, M&A and organizational corporate integration.

Mark was the President and Co-founder of Conversys Inc., sold to Transcontinental in 2009. At Conversys, Mark directed the company from the start-up stage through R&D and commercialization resulting in the company’s position as the market leader in Digital Promotions Marketing. Under Mark’s tenure, Conversys established the digital flyer / circular business in Canada and provided enterprise Digital Promotions Management services to Brands and Retailers in Canada (70% market share), United States and Mexico.

Conversys provided solutions and services to top Retailers; including, Loblaw Companies Ltd., Best Buy, Future Shop, Sobeys, London Drugs, Home Hardware, The Bay, Shoppers Drug Mart, Sears Canada, Home Depot and others in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Under Mark’s leadership, Conversys received the prestigious 2009 Vendor of the Year award by Staples-Business Depot. In 2009, Mark led Conversys through its successful acquisition by TC.Transcontinental Inc.; Canada’s largest printer and industry-leading media and digital company.

Prior to founding Conversys, Mark held management and business development positions in the outdoor advertising, digital imaging and industrial textile industries serving markets in Canada, the Unites States and Europe.

Mark holds a B.A. in Administrative and Commercial Studies from Western University.
