Jerry Storch
Jerry Storch, 59, was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Hudson’s Bay Company (TSX: HBC) in January 2015. A highly-accomplished retail executive with a proven track record of growing retailers through both digital and traditional channels, Mr. Storch has a distinguished career spanning 30 years in retail management and consulting. At HBC, Mr. Storch oversees HBC’s ten retail banners ranging from off-price to luxury across the United States, Canada, Germany and Belgium, comprised of Saks Fifth Avenue, Hudson’s Bay, Lord & Taylor, Gilt, Saks OFF 5TH, GALERIA Kaufhof, Galeria INNO, Find @ Lord & Taylor, Home Outfitters, and Sportarena, as well as HBC Digital.

Before joining HBC, Mr. Storch served as Chairman and CEO of Toys"R"Us, Inc., where he led a resurgence of the business, transforming the company into a US$13 billion global retailer. A champion of all-channel offerings, Mr. Storch also led the expansion of the company’s eCommerce business to over US$1 billion. Under his leadership, Toys"R"Us entered both Eastern Europe and China and experienced significant growth throughout the world, including through multiple acquisitions, such as FAO Schwarz, eToys and KB Toys.

Prior to his tenure at Toys"R"Us, Mr. Storch served as Vice Chairman of Target. Mr. Storch launched and oversaw the growth of Target.com, and founded and ran Target’s grocery business as well as the company’s Financial Services and credit card business. He was additionally responsible for the Marshall Field’s Department Stores, Target’s IT and Supply Chain functions, and led Target’s Corporate Strategy team for over a decade.

Prior to Target, Mr. Storch was a Principal at McKinsey & Company for 11 years, advising Fortune 500 retail, consumer goods and financial services clients.
Mr. Storch is non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Supervalu and a Director of both Bristol Myers Squibb and Fanatics.

Mr. Storch received an MBA from Harvard Business School, a JD from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard College.
