Session A: Emerging Social Selling Strategies

Chantel Waterbury
CEO & Founder, Chloe + Isabel
Chantel Waterbury, founder and CEO of Chloe + Isabel, is a life-long entrepreneur whose drive and tenacity has allowed her to support herself since she was just 13-years-old. After a successful career as a jewelry and retail executive, Chantel launched Chloe + Isabel in 2011 with the mission of creating a social retailing platform devoted to empowering the next generation of female entrepreneurs. Inspired by her own life experiences and powered by her passion for collaboration and empowerment, Chantel created jewelry brand Chloe + Isabel to provide women with a career opportunity that offers them the training, mentoring, sales and marketing skills that build confidence and drive financial independence. Today, Chloe + Isabel has nearly 10,000 merchandisers throughout the country and the brand has been recognized in national media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Glamour and Vogue. Chantel was named to Fortune magazine's prestigious 40 Under 40 list in 2011 and Business Insider recognized Chloe + Isabel as one of the Best New Startups that same year.

Chantel began her career selling Cutco knives door to door so she could earn the money she needed to attend college. In one summer, she sold $30,000 and that set Chantel on an early path to entrepreneurial success. After graduating from Santa Clara University, she began a career in corporate fashion retail and over the next 15 years, she held executive positions at some of the most recognized fashion and retail brands including, Target Corporation, Macy's Merchandising Group, GAP Inc and LVMH. This wide range of experience in the buying, designing and merchandising world has given her a unique perspective and knowledge in building a brand, developing exceptional product and leading a mission to empower female entrepreneurs through social retailing and financial independence.

Chantel lives in New York City with her husband Jeff and their two young children. She is an avid antique collector and is an extraordinary Lego builder thanks to her son.
